My boat is not plumbed for overboard black water discharge.
Looking for options?
53’ MY has 2 Black water tanks.
I’d like to plumb to discharge both tanks with one pump.
Anyone have a diagram or description on how they’re doing it?
Existing seacock?
Location for pump in bow or generator area?
Splicing/T-ing into 1 1/2” Dockside pump out lines?

Thx

If you can I would take that pump back and get a Sea Land pump. I.t will outlast 5 of those cheap Jabsco pumps

Really?
Think I will then!
If anyone has pictures of the discharge configuration that’d be a huge help before I get started!
Thank You!PJT

Re: 53’ Hatteras MY, overboard discharge location & plumbing?
Yes, return that POS and buy a sealand. These impeller pumps will burn out in no time if ran dry.
Even with a Sealand bellow pump, you want the pump as close to the tank as possible and limit the length bof the hoses so I would not try to use a single pump for two tanks.
My 53 only has one large holding tank under the floor of the forward stateroom. The pump is tee’d into the pump mount hose which unlike original hatteras tanks is attached to the tank at the bottom, not using a dip tube. It is mounted on a shelf on the forward bulkhead under the floor next to the tank.
To avoid adding an extra hole under the waterline I simply installed a thru hull 6” above the water line. Since overboard discharge is only legal at least 3 miles offshore, there is no worry about residue on the hull under the TH, it will be rinsed off by the bow wave.Pascal

Re: 53’ Hatteras MY, overboard discharge location & plumbing?
My macerater sits on a shelf on the stbd side just forward of the fwd tank accessed via the hatch on floor in fwd stateroom. The discharge from pump goes to a thruhull which I think is at the waterline. From the pump is short hose that goes to a three way marelon valve then the hoses from the tanks go to the 3way valve. The valve has a handle so you can control which tank is pumped overboard or off and has a hole for a padlock per USCG Regs. Very simple setup if your tanks have a spare spot for the overboard plumbing.
