Jack should have never sold her. I think that big moose 65 did him in. This being Jacks old boat no doubt everything was done right on the repower. Good luck with the sale.

What's the story with this one?
Inside looks completely refinished but not really finished (?) with new, untreated, veneer. Didn't see anything on a repower mentioned either.

Quite a deal if you ask me. Finishing the interior wood ought not to be difficult.

Runs very good , has soft spot on bow and can use some cosmetic paint . We used her trips and vacations , never let me down and ran right there with a group of much newer boats. Has made numerous trips to block island and east of Long Island areas . We have property on Fort Myers Beach that was hit by hurricane Ian recently and our plans have changed here.

It was owned by a long time and respected member of this forum Jack Sardinia his handle here was Saltshaker. There are threads on the repower and things he did to the boat. This was a very knowledgeable guy that did things right. He was lured like many of us by a very low price on a big moose 65c it was a heck of a deal and the boat had been maintained by another forum member who was a top Detroit man here in Florida. I heard the 65 was grabbed by the bank a couple years after he bought it. Sometimes buying something because it’s an outrageous deal will put you on the road to ruin.
The 46c is one of the best boats Hatteras made IMO I ran charters out of cape May NJ with several back in the 80’s many were overnight to the canyons in all kinds of weather.
