    Updating Marquip Davit

I wish to update the cable for the Marquip davit on the boat and also look at swapping out the motor from 120 V to 240 V. I have previously installed a brake service kit.Could you please tell me whether I should replace with stainless wire, a high-tech rope, or a strap?Where would I find a replacement 240 V motor? Thanks.

I’ll see if we have this brand/product in Australia. Otherwise I will try to find a similar Dyneema product. Does anyone know the approximate length of the Rope required?

    Dyneema is so much nicer.
Although it doesn't like UV and would expect to replace it quicker.

If you have the serial number of the davit you can call Marquipt and they’ll tell you how long it should be.

Does anyone know where to purchase a 240 V motor for this davit? The original motor is a Dutton Lainson part 90-709 model but they only have 110v.
