The Hatteras 53 Motor Yacht is the yacht all others are measured against in this size. Still a desirable, stately and comfortable design, this one is the original layout as delivered from the factory except for a Galley update. A very popular model, the Hatteras 53 Motor Yacht, with inside bridge access. The heart of 53 is her enormous salon—112 square feet of living area.
Gangway stairs lead you to the deck and a sliding door to enter the bridge and salon. The bridge is equipped with standard Hatteras gauges and controls including GPS, and accessible circuit breaker board.
An open floor plan incorporates the wheelhouse with the salon. The Grand Salon is appointed with 2 matching, rocking, reclining chairs. The afterdeck has a cabinet with a workbench top, and doors and drawers for storage The Aft deck is open and airy with a hard cover roof to keep out of the sun and elements.
The Aft Deck has a ladder that leads to the roof with a winch that can be used to hoist a dinghy to be secured on the upper deck . Also a hatch that accesses the master stateroom for fresh air and sunlight.
The mid-level galley—5 steps down from the salon was completely remodeled in 2016, including floors, cabinets, appliances and paint. The new appliances include a stainless double sink with Insinkerator garbage disposal, a 2 burner cooktop, a Samsung 21’ Microwave-Convection Oven, and large counter spaces, abundant storage, and a booth-style dinette for four. Plus a new full size LG refrigerator freezer. Windows and curtains line the kitchen for open, airy viewing to the water.
Forward is a guest stateroom (or crew cabin) with over/under bunks. Ample storage includes many drawers and cabinets over a huge shelf. 2 Port holes and a hatch allow fresh air and lighting. The Anchor box is accessible from this room. The private full head/shower, plus a sink, and vanity for ample storage. Outside the head is the newer 2019 LG stack washer and dryer.

Moving back through the companionway there are forward and aft engine room doors to the port and starboard walk-in, stand up engine rooms providing outstanding visibility and access to all machinery in the engine space. Illuminated with both A/C and D/C lights, engine room vents and blowers, this machinery space also houses the water heater, fresh water pumps, A/C compressors, air tank, battery switches and various other ship's components.
The port battery bank was replaced In December of 2022, the starboard bank is only a year old.
Aft, to port, is the guest stateroom with twin berths. This stateroom boasts independent reading lights, a nightstand between and storage beneath the berths. This stateroom also enjoys a spacious hanging locker forward. A full head with sink, vanity and ample storage, and a stall shower is opposite this stateroom.
Further aft, the full-beam master stateroom has a walk-around comfortable queen bed, with storage and drawers under the bed. Both sides have a dresser top with deep drawers below. Each side of the bed has the standard Hatteras reading lights, and double doors to a full closet. The head is located in the hallway outside the bedroom with Jack and Jill bathrooms that share a roomy stand up shower. Plus a vanity with ample storage and Electric Galley Maid heads with vacuum pumps and macerators.

He means 2 tanks for a total of 700 fuel and 3 tanks for a total of 265 water.

The only problem is those are specs for the later 53 when the fuel capacity was increased.

At $150k, how can you afford not to buy it? I'm not sure what's a better deal... this, or that one beat up 58YF without engines or gears that had sunk for $167k.
