Interested in locating/ purchasing 1970s vintage or maybe 1980-82 Hatteras 46 Convertible.
Those for sale on BT & Yachtworld seem to be in 'average' or below average condition...
Appreciate any tips on what to look for, other places to source these boats etc.
Open to possible repower as well - guessing 46C would need QSM11 or CATs.
Not interested in MAN, MTU or Volvo.
Many thanks John

Re: Wanted - 1970s 46C
The 84 on YW is a series 2 like mine. Great layout. If the engines survey out you could probably make the case to freshen up all the bolt on stuff and avoid repower. They are quick pained to look better so maybe not. Also from the pictures I cannot tell if the flooring has cutouts for salon hatches or the small ones in the galley and guest head.
But you can at least use the pictures to check out the layout. The way they built the forward head into the V saves a lot of room. Engine room also has better that average clearance so service is not so hard.
FYI I am a bit biased.1966 34c
