The small doors on the port side of my 53MY helm station on the flybridge are rotting. I need to replace them and curious if anyone else has done so. What material did you use? Plastic or wood? Where did you get them? The original doors are some type of wood painted with the hull color.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Flybridge Cabinet Doors
Are your doors are painted over like ours ? And is it the laminate layers that are separating at the edges?
We epoxied and clamped the layers back together. Then covered the surface with epoxy micro-balloon mix. , sanded and repainted. Going strong for four years now.+++

Re: Flybridge Cabinet Doors
Mine were painted plywood. All the cabinet doors on the flybridge were rotted beyond repair.
Have fabricated new ones out of mahogany with biscuit joints and they are presently in the basement awaiting Bristol finish and re-install. Using neodymium magnets to hold them closed when re-installed. New stainless door pulls. Will post a pic or two when complete, hopefully in the next week.
