    41c hull angle for transducer

Anyone know what the hull angle is? I’m trying to buy a transducer

Yard needs to make a fairing block to make it face straight down. Standard stuff. Yes there is a cost but nothing too much.

If you are looking for a flush (internal or thru hull) ducer, finding the best location for it may have to come first before you can figure the beam angle offset.
Hull angles vary from for to aft & from keel to chine.

madhatter1 is correct on a fairing block if installing the better thru hull ducers. Again, find the best location, then find the angle of the hull for that location, transfer that angle to the fairing blocks cut.

Many of the better thru hull ducers come with or have an optional block. These and the included instructions do help the install greatly.

FWIW, you can download an app for a smartphone that will display the exact angle at any point on the hull. Just make sure the boat is stationary and not rolling in waves etc.

Hey now, what a great idea.
Find a place on the inside and use the cell phone to determine the angle at that place.

One concern, exterior strakes may not be easy to locate, if any at all.
Also, other thru hull appendages before and after the chosen location must be considered.

Keep us up on the whole plan and let us know how it works please.

If it is just a depth reading you are looking for, there are transducers that will accommodate up to about 23 degrees and still be mounted flush with the hull, no block required.
