    stuffing box paint recommendation

    any suggestions? do it, dont do it?

    now that its relatively cleaned up id like to try and keep it that way.

    If it is all bronze and in your hands, bead blasted it and paint with a two part paint.
    If it's in the bilge and just looks clean, grease the adjustment threads and leave it alone.

    Of course, if it is in your hands, your replacing it with a new drip-less so my first comment may not apply.

    all bronze, wirebrushed, threads greased and installed.
    looks pretty good, was just looking to try and stop if from tuning green again but there are always other battles to fight.

    Spray Corrosion Block on it , but you have to keep after it . As the green occurs wire brush it off using vinegar, most white vinegar is 5% acidic. Amazon sells some that is 45%. But watch out , you might as well be using muriatic acid .
