Nymph Yacht - What a Beauty!

This yacht pulled into Atlantic Yacht Basin this weekend. As luck would have it she is in the same shed I'm in.. not a Hatteras.. but what a gorgeous vessel... I met the gentleman that did the complete restoration.... super interesting...I've been promised a tour at some point.... enjoy!

Can someone explain what “30 year T&T haul with a 50 ton Travelift” means?

I just spent the last two weekends stripping and refinishing teak. All that beauty makes my hands hurt. Very Gatsbyesque. Beautiful interior.

    Cool boat, interesting read.

Lots of typos everywhere, I believe that it basically means that it is a fiberglass over wood hull.

The only thing more expensive than buying that yacht would be maintaining it. I'm glad boats this beautiful exist. I'm also glad I don't own one like it.

When I finally get to new salon furniture and the dinette, I'm going to make it all tufted upholstery like on that beauty. That's class....

When she was offered for sale by the Maryland Port Authority in Baltimore - I considered buying her. She was in tough shape structurally and that pushed her out of my reach. The most interesting thing about her is that she slides through the water at about a 9 knot cruise and leaves zero wake. Remarkable. Sam Wright is an interesting character. Many years ago I sold him a 44' Elco Cruisette 1939 named "Frolic" which was one of his early restorations.

She's a beauty, but you'd need some serious deep pockets to keep her that way.
