Fuel burn: 89' FB with 535 HP 6V92TA's

Looking at a 1989 FB with 535 HP 6V92TA's. Any information on fuel burn at a given speed?

    Thanks!

    I don't have flow scans but I burn about 40gph total at 20kt/1925 rpm. 692s in a 1989 45c

I don't know what model you are asking about, but my 53EDMY (58000lbs), gets about 1nm/gal at 10knots and .5nm/gal at 15knots. My 6v92s are 465hp. Hope that helps.

Jim, I thought the same thing then wondered why someone looking for a 90' boat would be worried about fuel burn.

36-40gph at 1900-1950 rpm for 500HP TAC2 (twin dry turbo) 6V92s is about right. Thats what my floscans said I was burning, and they were nuts on.

What speed that produces is up to the boat, of course...... and this assumes you're propped correctly and not overloaded.
