This happened this morning at the marina where we have our boat stored for the winter.
https://www.timesunion.com/news/arti...t-16790812.php
The guy that runs the yard there was badly injured and airlifted to the hospital.
Great dude, what a terrible thing.
Our boat is probably 200' from the building that was on fire, with 3 or 4 rows of other boats in between.
Will head down there in an hour or two and check it out, if possible.
Not good!

Re: Marina fire
Really sorry to see. It sounds like the guy that was hurt was burned really badly. That is a tough row to how. It happened to a friend of mine years ago when he was cleaning a magneto in a parts cleaner and it sparked.

Re: Marina fire
Yes, I don’t have the full picture but it appears the radius of damage is reasonably small and while a few boats were damaged, it’s not like the yard went up or anything.
People have been donating to a fund for him too, which is also good.Brett Portzer 1972 Hatteras 43DC331

Re: Marina fire
I was responding to his comment about going down there to check on it.
If I was speaking to those injured or related to the those injured, I wouldn't be talking about property. You really seem to have it in for me for some reason. What have I ever done here except to try to help others out? I don't know what your problem is Ralph.
And I didn't read the article because I don't have access without an account with that website. So I had no idea about any of it except what was posted here.Sky Cheney
