The Great Lakes bulk carrier Wilfred Sykes had some scary moments on November 25, 2021, when mechanical failure caused it to lose steering as it approached the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, Michigan. Just before entering the Port Huron River, it lost steerage-way and swung over to the West bank of southern most Lk Huron. This all starts about 11:30pm and concludes at 3:30am. Who knows, maybe it was on purpose for a stop at a wharf, but I believe that is the site of a USCG Station, not a commercial wharf.

After dropping anchor to prevent it from colliding with the seawall near the US Coast Guard station, it comes to a stop. A tugboat is seen arriving on scene, as well as what appears to be a USCG Motor Boat.

At any rate, here is the Youtube link. You decide- oops or just like we planned it?
