Oh, and if you do wind up going with Randy, I do know that he's also a fan of quality hot dogs served with exceptionally hot relish my buddy Ron makes. Oh, just make sure that the hot dogs are Hummels dogs made here in New Haven. (The New Haven).
I've never heard of Hummel dogs, are they as good as the pizza there? I prefer Kogel natural casings or Kogel skinless.
I thought I was the king of grilling a mean Dog, and a mean Steak, but can't cook a burger to save my life.

Back to boat questions.... the survey says we have a cracked stringer. did not see it myself yet.

My understanding is there is no wood in Hatteras stringers and I am hoping its just a surface crack.

Any one heard of cracked stringer(s) on a 53? Just didn't sound logical to me.

Don’t be screwing up our food thread! I’ll bet Sky’s pizza could be used to fix those cracks.

I doubt you have a cracked stinger. And I don't trust most surveyors.

That's kinda about how much it concerned me too.
Unless I hear of some other cases of this I don't think I will let it get me to riled up.

Can anyone verify there is not wood in the stringers? This is what I thought I had heard, but not 100% sure.

O.k. they are real, not just a myth, and apparently you can buy them online.
I might have to order some!

No wood. Just foam to have something to form the glass to.

ok good, so there is essentially nothing to rot that would make them weaken and crack.
I will have to remember to check it out when we go up, maybe next weekend. I'm betting it's just a surface crack.

Bob, as you go through the boat dealing with one thing or another you will mostly just learn how well built and wired it is. I had an AC issue and AC guy (who I know personally) has me check wiring since a poor connection at line voltage stat can cause the issue I was having. Well, I get to wiring and NOPE! Besides looking like artwork it also looks like it was installed yesterday.

And, no. Your stringer is not cracked. Even if it somehow suffered damage any easy glass work fix. After you run and live with the boat a bit your trust in it will be sky high.
