I believe the early 92's were intercooled.

8v92ti, intercooled, has two oil coolers. One in the block, cooled by coolant and one in the raw water loop. The raw water oil cooler also cools return fuel. My 8v92tis are 1982 vintage. I believe Hatteras came out with the aftercooled 92s in 1983.

Ill be darned. There is a picture of one with a intercooler hanging out in the breeze. I have never run across one before. It looks like a workboat/ commercial rated unit.
