Came across this short article about the man who’s name we all use many times a day....

On this day in 1913, well yesterday...., Rudolf Diesel disappeared at sea.

In reading the story, one thought was that he crossed the German Military and would not share areas of his research; they may have retaliated somehow.. Interestingly, Tesla crossed horns with government somehow. The US stripped him of all papers, research, etc., and he lived out his life penniless in a cheap hotel. Maybe someone has better details. So arguably the man who gave the world AC power, and other leading concepts, possible TV and radio (yes, I know Marconi and others get credit), had nothing to show for his brilliance.
