I have seen a few posts on rebedding the front glass windows. Is there any tips or procedures from removing the sliding window frames (one each side on a 53 convertible)? I was able to purchase all of the felt and parts from SAM's, but the boatyard is having trouble deciding how to get these apart and re-installed.

Re: Rebedding Sliding Window Frames
You don't have to remove the frames. The windows lift up and out of the frames and you can replace the felts and the nylon tracks in no time at all. One trick is that if the glass won't quite lift up and out, put a small bottle jack in the frame. Use a small wood block above and below. Now jack the frame slightly to create a larger vertical opening. I am told that the weight of the flybridge, over time, puts a slight sag in the frame assembly. One of the easier jobs once you get going.
