    Re: Walbro fuel primer pump

If Walbro pumps are no longer available, you could look in Jeg's or Summit Racing for one of those little Carter vane pumps. I have them on two classic cars for exactly this purpose. But Walbro may still be in business.

Walbro is alive and well. Here is a shop I found on the web a while back.
Sadly, the big black pump that we all know and luved is not available. This site has some replacement suggestions.

Most of the old pumps are serviceable.

I put one of these in my e-type to replace the unreliable original pump. Flows up 120gph

Ouch,, Good luck with finding a new 32v pump.

I now run my electric fuel pumps from my house 12Vdc system.

For as little as the electric fuel pumps are used, maybe make a fused line from the 3rd battery (#3 of 4 in a 32V bank) and draw a 24Vdc line.

    Re: Walbro fuel primer pump

I have used a 24 volt pump on 32 volts as a prime pump only. I think as long as i'ts intermittent use it's OK. .....Pat

No big deal to run a pair of wire from the gen battery

That looks like Aeromotive built it for them. Good stuff.

Very quiet too. I tried others before including a Carter but you could hear it from the front seat
