    Meridian Question

I'm bringing a Meridian 580 up the Tennessee river. It has Hynautic steering, but I'm unable to find the fluid resevoir. I've checked all the usual spots and no joy. Any ideas?

We need to vote for the best one.

    1) Who would pay to have a meridian brought up to wherever?

    2) Who would admit to running a meridian?

    3) Do I need a glass bottom boat to see the last meridian on this trip?

    Re: Meridian Question

I wouldn’t be surprised if Bayliner ... sorry Meridian... saved a few bucks by not using a pressurized reservoir but just a gravity fed system from the helm.

Someone on one of the looper groups should have one and know.

    Re: Meridian Question

On my boat the fluid reservoir is near the rudders. So don’t know if aft cabin or what you have but I would look around the rudders and see if you find it. Good luck

    Re: Meridian Question

You guys should check with Yacht Broker to see what a Meridian 580 sells for. The Resevoir is behind a panel near the upper helm.

My boat is a rounding error on the price of one of those.

Not sure selling price means anything. Case in point, quad engine center consoles. Think of how many nice, old Hatt's you could buy for the price of one of those.

Those are actually very nice boats, but I'm sure you too would buy something else before you plopped down that kind of money on one. Besides, this was like asking a question about a Mustang on a Corvette forum. Then again, maybe it was more like asking a Corvette question on a Mack truck forum.
