    Re: Steering upgrade

Love the Kobelt products. I have their bow thruster and steering systems. With the NFU jog, it's cheap and simple to add another station, like on aft deck for docking. It's important to have a rudder indicator since the jog does not return to center.

    Re: Steering upgrade

Thank you for sharing. My only reservation is a personal dislike of the joystick since my last ship in the Coast Guard was one of the first ones with the joy stick and I could not "feel" the rudder the way I could on my previous ship with a 4-foot diameter brass wheel. But thanks! One of my long-term projects is a new autopilot and a rudder angle indicator on our boat.

That looks awwwwwfulllly complicated, what is the reliability factor over standard hynautic with that power steering system?

    Re: Steering upgrade

My Kobelt system has worked perfectly for 30 years. Lots of long trips.
