32 v Galley Maid windlass motor

    hi fellow Hatteras owners,
I'm looking for a 32v 1986 vintage Galley Maid windlass motor.
I asked Rick at GM and he doesn't have the components to make a new one.

Can you have the old one rebuilt at an starter/alternator shop? We have motor shops here in the states that do that kind of thing. I figure you must have them too.

Otherwise, here is a link I found with a quick search. I don't know anything about them.

I have one along with the 32v solenoids when I repowered and converted to 24v. Worked when removed. Don’t know if it s worth shipping to Australia though

    Thanks for the replies guys.
I have found a solution., there were 2 brush holders broken and we can rebuild with parts from the US.

Hi Pascal, out of curiosity, how much would you want for them? I like the idea of having a backup for redundancy.
We could send by slower regular mail to save cost. Send me a DM is you want. cheers
