    Lifeline diameter

    Does any know the wire size of the plastic coated lifelines that run thru the rail stanchions.
    Boat is 1971 43DC. I am adding a gate and need to order some fittings.

    Just replaced mine on 1973 38' FBDC. They were 5/16"

    Me too. Make sure to ask the company doing the ends to keep them the same size. If the swedge or crimped end is not kept close to the same size you’ll be enlarging the holes in the railings to accommodate the new lines. Hatteras used very good stainless, ask me how I I know.
