I've redone my cockpit and parts of my toe rails with Awl Grip. I even sprayed the griptex onto the wet paint with a cheapie small sandblasting gun. I think it turned out great. All done in the water at my dock. This spring I'm doing the rest of the non skid on the fore deck and down each side to the cock pit coaming. The coaming was done last year with the cock pit floor. The decks are easy, with good prep work and the griptex you can hide some mistakes. My 2 cents is when tipping, use a new quality bristle brush and keep the area covered with something to keep any moisture off the finished job. I had evening dew get on some of mine and it dulled the finish so I will be top coating it again this spring. Awl Grip need 16 hours to get a good skin on it. I would try Alexseal but they do not have my color. I have never had a problem blending in the Awlgrip if I pick a inconspicuous spot to stop.

Good video on this available from Jamestown Distributors... I have rolled and tipped AwlGrip several times, the paint goes a lot further than it does when spraying, and so does your money.

Painting season’s about to kick off again. I’ve had good luck and results just rolling Perfection.
