    Re: Bahamas Travel, COVID

It s not a real issue or worry as every port of entry offers testing plus Highbore (pun intended) and Staniel in the Exumas.

    Re: Bahamas Travel, COVID

Thanks for the clarification on the 5 day test requirement and thanks for the the link to the covid info page.
If you have to be tested on the 5th day there, that could be a problem if you are not near a testing site. Has anyone experienced this situation yet? I’m wondering how much trouble you might get in if you didn’t make it to a testing center until say day 6 or 7. If you are on your boat and not on land I can’t imagine that would be a problem.

Not sure why my reply posted twice....
I hear you on the testing sites. I guess that’s not going to stop me from pulling the trigger on the trip.

That document is pretty good but the best source of UP TO DATE INFO is put together by the association of Bahamas marina on this page

    https://www.bahamasmarinas.com/procedures-and-protocols

They work closely with the bahamian government to publish the very latest

    Re: Bahamas Travel, COVID

Called my PCP this morning, and they can handle the test on a same day, parking lot probe basis with a 48 hour turnaround time. Sounds like a giant pain in the... nose. Now all I need is a firm departure date, and I'll be good to go.

Only if I get lost and need to pull in someplace and ask directions.

I'm assuming we'll either head for WPB or Stuart, but I won't be the one setting the itinerary for this one. Might fly into FLL, though.

    Re: Bahamas Travel, COVID

Regarding the 5 day test this is the site to follow.
Looks like Chub and a few other came off this list. Also not include are all the none-marine sites.

It's pretty easy and drive a bit of marina $$ there way. We did our at Highbourne, happen to match well with a blow, so we enjoyed the one night stay.

    Staniel is easier.
