That boat is just across the channel from us, I always wondered what it was. Looks pretty cool and a lot bigger than 74 feet.

Looks nice. Not sure if it looks 1.5M nice and the description is the usual broker diarrhetic hyperbole which would make me not even want to call Mr Joaquin Genrich .

    Re: 74 shrimp boat

That is soooooo cool!!! I never knew anyone ever converted one of those shrimp boats.

And I think the description is spot on. All of that is undoubtedly true when you consider her owner and his deep pockets. Heck, she looks like she was converted and launched last week. Clean, tidy and well cared for. What else could you buy for $1.5M that even comes close to the capability and condition of that trawler?

The story of Boeing Jr and the Hatteras Trawler conversion has been documented before, and if it has been kept up to that standard it's a significant piece of Hatteras history and a damned impressive yacht.

Beautiful boat. I remember someone at Hatteras telling me that Dan Blocker had bought one, also, and had it converted to a yacht. Wonder where it is now.

I can't stop looking. Amazing amount of boat for the money.
