on my 1972 58yf the side door light wires run through the overhang and appear under the headliner inside the salon, i'm not sure where they go from there as my lights were removed and the holes were patched in the overhang so i didnt follow them any further

I got one of these...... Been able to track a few things down with it. Bad news is you have to power down.

Re: Doorway Light domes and front Mirror light power / breaker source?
On our 58 yachtfish 1977, the cables to those three lights run along the salon ceiling from near each door to the lower helm upper panel. From near the door, the cable goes into the fiberglass overhang outside to the light fixture. I have one light with very short pigtails and have not managed to budge the cable. Don't know which breaker feeds it.
