Careful removal and unwiring will take 6 or more man days. That's a lot of work and explains why so many people don't do it.
I've seen so many bad installations over the years. Even worse when a "knowledgeable owner" comes up with a bunch of shitcuts that make me cry.

I filled a 55 gallon garbage can. After that, finding where a wire went wasn't that hard anymore.
