Would like to ditch the mast and replace with an arch. New is prohibitively expense, so was thinking of a used/salvage. Is this a possibility or am I smoking rope?

Re: looking for an arch 18'3 beam
When you see photos of hurricane damage and sunken boats, you would think parts like that would be available if only someone would have salvaged them.

I've been scratching my head that there is no serious salvage/used parts dealers. Guess part of the problem is transportation to a central location for disassembly.

If you ditch the mast I might be interested.
Currently I have a full length custom 2" aluminum soft top which has a radar arch built in that I hate.Ray

Re: looking for an arch 18'3 beam
Check out Atlantic Towers. They sell an aluminum arch kit for about $2,000. They go together easily, come with all mounting brackets and are very secure and strong when installed. We put one on our 53 about 3 years ago. On there web site are photos of installs on different boat, including some Hatteras’s. John

Why no love for the mast?
It’s functional, it’s very yacht-like, it’s hinged, and best of all, it’s already on my... uh, your boat.Randy Register - Kingston, TN

Interesting, 3 years ago my Atlantic Towers Arch was $1900.00 and some change. I guess they have gone up a bit. John
