Re: Holding Tank Maintenance
Quick question, is there a black tank level indicator anywhere on the 53'? I hear talk of a 3/4 indicator somewhere in the forward head but can't find one. Don't know if there was one in '73.

Re: Holding Tank Maintenance
They are in each head. It’s next to the push button you use to flush. The red light turns on when it hits 3/4 full.

Re: Holding Tank Maintenance
Mine is a 1979, I’m checking with a friend that has an earlier model to see if they have the 3/4 full sensors. I’ll let you know.

Re: Holding Tank Maintenance
Checked and they have no sensors at all. It’s and easy add and not expensive at all. If you can’t find the set up at SMs check out RV shops. They have the entire system as well.

Re: Holding Tank Maintenance
Most RV stuff is for poly tanks and won't work on our tanks. Your best bet is to get a Hart Tank Tender. I tried another system that puts the sensors inside of a pvc pipe. It worked for a few years and then failed. The Hart just keeps going and it extremely accurate and very easy to install.
