2000 - 2005 55c - looking for opinions

Looking to move up to a S5 sportfish and have zeroed in on the 55c. Looking for any info that can be provided - preferable engine choice, fuel burn, any issues to look for... Thanks in advance

I didn't think they made that many 55's in that age, mainly produced the 60. I have a 2008 60 GT for two years, and can give some insight on what I have seen. You would probably be looking at 3412's in a 55 which are great engines. Possible, to see some with c18's which are also good, but less horsepower. They are well made boats. Check for access to all equipment, check all lighting and pumps. Check for signs of water in bilges etc. If you like it, set up the sea trial and surveys to really go through the boat. Good luck.
