Cruising the Albemarle sound and I opened up the 8v’s. She struggled to come out of the hole to plane. It finally did and ran 17kts. I was pretty sure the tabs were not working but know for sure now. I haven’t seen the pump yet. I have the twin bed set upon the master. I assume the pump is some where back there. Anybody worked on it?

Re: Trim tab pump
Not yet. I have however learned that the travel on the tabs is limited, like 3" or so, that they don't really do much to get you out of the hole, and are mostly for lateral trim.
The opinions about their effectiveness ranges from "zip" to "little".
I believe some people have extended them.
