Marine anti-seize lube for props and shafts

Is it common practice to use marine grade anti-seize when installing props? If so, what brand is preferred? Have run across Jet-Lube, Loctite and Permatex. All marine grade.

Go to 10 different boatyards and you will probably get 10 different answers. A lot of people don’t recommend putting anything on the shaft taper.

I'm in the nothing on the taper crowd. The entire purpose of the taper is to seize the prop on it and keep it from rotating/spinning. Anything you do to defeat that action is probably not a good idea imo.

    Yep, nothing on the taper.
This is what we've been doing, lap them, push them up with the prop smith, 5200 the 1st nut to the prop, 5200 the 2nd nut to the 1st nut.
