Re: New Fridg Going in 53MY
I can only imagine how hard that job must’ve been. Since you have all the trim off can you give me an exact measurement of wall-to-wall space that you had to fit that refrigerator down.

Re: New Fridg Going in 53MY
I had to take my top stair apart as well, and cut a bunch of trim. My AC panel isn't on that side fortunately. It still was a lot of trouble.

Re: New Fridg Going in 53MY
If you had cut up the old fridge, would the new one have fit without the the cutting of the stairs and cabinet trim?

Re: New Fridg Going in 53MY
Great question Sky, my plan when I’m ready is to cut mine up with a reciprocating saw and about 4 to 6 pieces.

Re: New Fridg Going in 53MY
You saw the way I cut it..... And if you remove the frame from the bottom first with the compressor on it that comes out as one piece and takes a lot of the weight with it in a small package.
Plan on cutting a freon line, throwing a towel on it so the oil doesn't fly everywhere and leaving the building for a few.
Yes, I know.....illegal. If you want to do it right have an HVAC tech come and evacuate the system. Or buy a pump and reservoir. (About as much as a new fridge).1978 53' Motor Yacht "LADY KAY V"
