Just checking to see where your 43DC 's sit in the water.
Mine sits with the exhaust pipes above the water.
The painted waterline is about 3 inches above the actual waterline at rest.
I assume this is a result of it having been repowered with 4 stroke Volvo's that are much lighter than the original 8 53 Detroits.
Wondering if this causes a louder exhaust. Also if handling is not as good as a fully loaded hull.

How full are the tanks? Your fuel tanks are all the way in the stern and would affect the waterline level.

We are sitting just about the same exhaust is about half out of water, this shot was the other day we are light on fuel in aft tank and water tank just filled up so she is down by the bow slightly,,,, she has DD671's

On my 1976 43DC floating in saltwater with Cummins 903's, the exhaust tubes are completely out of the water with anything less then 1/3 of tank. With full tanks I want to say only about 1/4 top of tube exposed.

On my 1979 43DC with DD 671Ns the bottom of my exhaust pipes are 1" below the water with full fuel tanks and empty water and waste tanks.
