    Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Just open the panel and swap it with the water heater breaker. Its the same amperage breaker.

    The old circuit breakers are very difficult to get out, let alone to swap over. So I have used an imaginative mix of Sky's and Oscar's suggestions.

    I have disconnected the output to the water heater and connected a couple of jumpers to bypass the existing AC CB's altogether.

    Will reconnect the blower and see how we go in the morning.

    The PWX box looks to have two triacs.
