TN River, Scottsboro, AL Marina Fire Final Report

Here's the NTSB report on the tragedy.

    https://www.ntsb.gov/investigations/...ts/MAB2032.pdf

It was shocking to note that 17 people boarded two unoccupied boats to get off the burning dock only to be sucked back into the conflagration by the thermal vortex.

It reads like a bad dream of being unable to separate themselves from the power of the flames even after attempting to make a escape. Almost like running (paddling) but going no where, to then even be pulled back in.

I wished the report documented the size and type of the initial fire extinguishers used.

I had to stop reading when I got to the part about the mothers and children who were trapped in that burning boat. Hopefully lessons will be learned to avert another such tragedy.
