I helped replace all the wood on a Grand Banks. They were through bolted and it ripped out the same way. Mother Nature.

The whole area should be solid glass at least up to a couple of inches from the opening.

If the hausepipe would have held would it have sunk the boat? Looks like some serious force trying to float there. This giving way may have saved the boat?
