Hatteras 56 MY fuel consumption at hull speed

I'm on the hunt for a nice Hatteras, have been looking at 53' MY, 58' MY and 56' MY
my understanding is that at hull speed both the 53 and 58 may achieve something along the lines of 20 GPH, both the 53 an 58 are the 15'10" beam, the 56 however has an 18'10" beam.

The 56 has 8V92 Turbo Detroit Diesels.

Can the same fuel consumption be expected of the 56' at hull speed?

    Thanks!
*EDIT* I meant 1 gallon per mile at hull speed.... oops!

My understanding is that you can get "around" one mile to the gallon on all of these at or slightly below 9-10 knots.

If it helps, my 17’-6” beamed, 12V71ti 55C shows about 16GPH at around 9 to 9-1/2 knots per Flo Scans. That’s almost 11MPH for river people.

Knowing you, a little now, you probably have a spreadsheet with a statistically valid sample of tank fillings and Floscan data..... You find them accurate?

My experience is 1 gph at 8knts. 10-12 knots fuel burn goes up 50%

Re: Hatteras 56 MY fuel consumption at hull speed

The 53/58s burn about 10gph combined at 9.1 to 9.3 kts hull speed. Go 10 kts and it s going to be close to 20gph. The difference is huge and most people don’t understand it until they have flow meters (regardless of boat or engine, the hydrodynamics don’t change)

The wider beam 54,56 will burn a couple of gallon more because of the extra beam.

That’s pretty good my Cape May to Palm Beach and back trips typically ran 2400-2800 gallons each way
