The 1.25” hose from the strainer to the pump runs over the shaft in the stbd ER. It’s never been a problem before but recently I noticed it had settled down and was resting on the shaft. IM GLAD I CAUGHT IT BEFORE THE HOSE FAILED.
What is the proper fix? It doesn’t look like there is enough room to run it under the shaft.

Re: Air conditioning pump intake hose
Replace the hose with a longer one and attach it to the bulkhead behind the stuffing box? Keep in mind you don’t want to any high or low point on the intake hose or it will airlock whenever you haulout

Re: Air conditioning pump intake hose
A second piece of larger hose as a protective layer over the first one?

Re: Air conditioning pump intake hose
Rigid heavy bronze or copper pipe self supporting over the shaft way.
PVC conduit with the hose inside.
Plastic (or real copper) hanging straps from above.
