    Alternative to navpod

I’m looking to mount another furuno navnet3d screen under the back of the bridge to view the fish finder from the cockpit on my 88 38c. Navpods will do the trick but it’s as much as a used screen. Any alternatives?

Might try a Google search on "Plastic NEMA enclosures". Bunch of different choices for what are basically waterproof boxes but you'd have to come up with your own mount.

How about flush mounting in the aft wall? Or you could use the bail mount installed from the bottom of the overhang. I just bought a 4212 to network in for the same purpose and have been contemplating the same ideas.

The flush mounting could be interesting I’m not sure there’s enough depth.

Build a box out of fiberglass or epoxied wood and paint. Then attach that to gain some depth.

So buy a new current screen then the navpod wont seem so expensive.

They run a few hundred to maybe 5 hundred depending on size and accessories.

Also you can get a new face if you ever upgrade to current electronics.
