    Re: Pump out adapter.

I am the "Groom of the Stool" in the family. House, boat, RV. Getting in there and knowing the system and being able to keep it working properly can avoid the REAL bad jobs. And, a properly working system is sanitary and should not interfere with the ambiance. Done my share of dosing pumps, joker valves and macerators....... But always my own. Not for third parties.

My home marina, Windriver, uses a big suction cup adapter, and a straight hose.. and that's a problem. The pump has to lift the effluent column about 3 feet above deck height, which is almost 5 feet above dock/pump height, and the holding tank is 2 feet below the waterline... over 10 feet total, and it just doesn't have the hp to do it.. the neighboring marina, Ft Loudon has a bigger pump and the screw in adapter, so not as much lift and it works great...till a chuckle head dropped the adapter in the drink. Windriver has a golf cart mounted pump that works great, but only a 30 gallon tank...so as a courtesy, I go next door to pump out.. 9 trips on the golf cart would not be best!
