Looking for Caterpillar 3208 mechanic in New Orleans area

If anyone knows of a person who is experienced working on these engines and can work on them in the New Orleans area, please let me know. Naturally aspirated 210 HP each. No major problems, but just bought the boat and want to give it the once over before taking it offshore

Its Louisiana CAT - price out of my league. 2K just to look at it including $500 for the 20 miles drive back and forth from Harvey. That before any possible work on it and another $500 each time they make the 20 mile drive

I hope you can find somebody affordable and realistic. But that is the problem with owning these boats...you either know how to do the work yourself (or at least manage the work well) or you have deep pockets to pay others.

If you buy a modern equivelent of our old boats, you will spend 1.5million or more. An old boat requires the same maintenance costs as a new multi-million dollar boat.
