I don't know, it's written on ton's of different items. Anyone know how the 50 MY's were numbered from 1966-67?
When we installed the Cat's Tom did the engineering for the engine location (moved them aft) and mounts from the original drawings. There was supposed to be steel or aluminum installed under the top of the stringers to tap for the mount bolts, both the drill and magnet didn't find any metal so who knows what was going on back then.

Do you know the history on your boat? I’ve only seen 2 66’s and they could have been the same boat. I think most are 67’s they moved the Electical panel from the ER to the companionway. Then in 68 they eliminated the wood rub rail and used the same aluminum one as the 45. The 50 was too heavy for that and it would crush. I only know one 69. It had the newer style bridge later used on the 53 but they stuck the top of the consul from the older style which looked tacked on.

As far as the numbers go, I was told by , I think Steve McPherson , that there are hull numbers and build numbers and they were not the same. ....Pat

I read somewhere (pretty sure it must have been here) that the early boats have the hull number on the backs of all the drawers have the number for that particular model. My 34 has #33 and the 69 45 project boat we have but never did anything with has #1 on every drawer.
Also read that actual hull number is a combination of model line number and total boats built that year.
Then to make things even harder to nail down no one seems to know about hull numbers in relation to model year and actual year built.

So I'll just go on beliving my 66 34 is hull number 33 and the 45 is 69 hull number one! Anyone interested in a collectors item?

Yes the hull # is written on all the drawers. Our 34 was SC-157 and 1965.

So the electrical panel was in the ER, the shore/gen switch was next to the steps but don't think it was original, really bad/ugly modification.
Our boat had been seized by Customs and then sold to the people we bought it from, name was Old Smuggler at the time. They sort of had an assembly line of seized boats they were doing rehabs on behind various houses in Ft Lauderdale, think they could have been South African so they had to have a US citizen, who was their broker, purchase the boats from the government. We never could get it documented as there was an issue with one of the transactions, guy wouldn't sign off when we tracked him down, unfortunately we lost all of that paperwork in a fire back in 1994.
