    AED Onboard?

    Bob-

    I've carried an AED onboard for last 10 years... especially for offshore fishing trips when you are out of range of any medical help within a reasonable amount of time.

    Most of the modern ones are "automatic"... meaning you attach it and the device does the assessment and determines if a "shock" is warranted.

    There is no downside to having an AED onboard. Even the expense is minimal compared to other routine boat bills.
