First we have to stop the government from telling people not to fly.

First tell the news media to stop blowing this up into the next apocalypse. I'm sure you remember SARS and H1N1 and Bird Flu, Swine Flu and every other pending pandemic to come out of Asia in the last, I dunno,... twenty years? And probably thousand?

I favored legalizing pot. Not because I've ever touched the stuff, but because I remembered my history class and the lessons of prohibition. But it seems like I've made a mistake because the short-term memory issues that result make the public more susceptible to the news cycle and less to any kind of rational thinking at all.

Price of $1.66/gallon. Lowest price I've paid since 2003.

I filled up the car this morning here in Tampa and paid a $1.88 a gallon at the BJs here in east Tampa. They don't have diesel so I didn't see a price for over the road diesel.

$1.599 here late today. Dropped a nickel from am. Guy from Chevron called and wanted to know if I had any room in my tank. I’m waiting for the set of glasses.

Monday when I topped off at $1.66/g, WTI crude was $29/barrel.

Wednesday it bounced between 20-22/barrel/

Today (Thurs) it's up to $24. I'd guess $1.35-1.50/g for diesel today. I slip near a megayacht marina and saw Peterson oil barges (2) in there most of the morning.

I need diesel for my 53 back home, with my luck it would have jumped back up by the time I get home

I think bargain fuel will be here for a while. I just spoke with the oil truck guys. Today's price is $1.61/gallon.

I actually thought it would be lower with crude at $24/barrel but I suspect we've reached a point where refining and distribution cost more that the raw material.
