Re: Oil Price Just Collapsed 25% with more to come

I'm watching the commodity charts with astonishment.

Sweet crude down 33% in just 1 day.

Yes I'm going to save a few hundred $ on fuel, but this level of correction is unheard of. This is a crash which will be felt by the global economy for some time.

Thought I’d never say it, but it’s way too low for our own good.

This is the lowest I have seen for diesel in 16 years.
Trucks are usually a little cheaper than the barge. Problem is that most marinas ask for a cut usually around 0.15 a gallon ...

Not ours. We pay the oil truck directly

Same here... I ve had fuel delivered at three different marinas over the years,I pay the delivery company but they add whatever the marina charges whether 0.10 or 0.15 and pay them their take.

Still better than places like Miami Beach marina which is usually almost a dollar higher than delivery

And I m sure fuel in the Exumas is going to be well over $4 a gallon no matter what

I am buying over the road diesel for my Land Cruiser for 2.46 in Maryland, as of yesterday. Regular down to 2.26. For MD this is good. REgular will probably drop below two dollars in Virginia pretty soon if this keeps up.

    Depends

Big oil might be a good value. Small cap, forgeaboutit. Many smaller oil companies will probably not survive this crash. That's by design btw.
