    First.

Run anything that can be run on 24 volts. Especially the amps. They usually call for an 80 amp breaker at 12 volt.

    Second

get an auto buck boost transformer for the store power.

Third if your using inverters have them manage the ship/shore switching.

I dont know the scope of your project but its probably a good idea to get a full design and bomb before starting.

PM or call me if you need help.

Been there, done this and succeeded multiple times.

Complete rip out and start over Engines are already converted to 24

I do want each Engine and the Gen set completely isolated.

The only thing i have is a high volume auto switch bilge operating on each engine 24DC power for emergency purposes.

The Amp circuits are for a stereo system that may or may not be installed

No inverters are going to be used, use of a converter/charger only for the 12v system mainly charging/battery maintenance. (works great in my RV)

I like the idea of the auto buck boost transformer
    Thank you

    Where are you located?

12 volt as a subsystem leaves a big question for charging.

If you dont have a 12v alternator then you need a way to keep the 12 volt stuff running wi th h 9i UV running AC.

PM me if your interested in getting it designed correctly.

Theres a lot to be considered. Especially on a tear our where the insurance company will want it up to modern standards.

No way to charge the 12v batteries from the alternators as a backup?

Yes and no. It can be done but not at high amperage.

As I said run as much as possible off the native 24 volt systems.
