We purchased fenders from Megafend of Ft. Lauderdale and love them. Both cylinders and balls. They sell the socks as well. The smallest balls were perfect for locking through the Chobe (Okeechobee) and hopefully the Erie and Welland. Just use a vacuum or any air source to inflate. Press the valve to deflate. Light weight and easy to use, I'm sold more importantly the Admiral loves them. We also purchased four of their fender hangers. I agree with the racks on the bow but hate the thought of the up and down the fly bridge ladder to store.
Interesting side bar, the owner of Megafend was a passenger on a TWA 727 that had a bomb explode in the forward cargo compartment in Greece.
