The fridge died and so wondering if anyone has replaced the fridge on a 58LRC, seems like it has to go over the counter and out back window- but maybe there's a better way. Any suggestions are welcome

Re: looking for advice on replacing fridge on 1980 58LRC
We got a whirlpool side by side a few years ago. Boaters get to do such strange things.
1. Cut top cabinet above frig 6 or so inches higher because zero new refers were short enough
2. Remove salon door and trim
3. Remove aft deck clear plastic windows
4.remove refer side by side doors, shelves
5. Lift over counter into galley so it lands ready to push back cause can't turn it around
6. Reassemble refer and salon doors
Delivery guys were not allowed on the dock but did anyway. With their help and 3 friends we got it in an hour or so. Measure before you buy on a real frig not internet demensions. You need a side by side cause the doors on regular modern refers are too big to open.
Have fun and join the club if you haven't already.
