I pay more for diesel at the freaking gas stations. That's a great price. If I were close I'd grab 200 gallons

That’s good enough for another picture. Yesterday at Fort Walton. Just passed Navarre Beach en route to Fairhope.

I saw auto diesel here on the OBX for 1.89 two days ago.

Re: Stuart, FL To Racine, WI On A 60MY
Tonight’s fuel will be $1.85 and will be the most expensive we’ve taken on since FLL. $1.36 at Gasparilla then $1.45 at Carrabelle. The cheap fuel will likely end once we hit the rivers.
Demopolis generally has the best prices around, but they were like $2.50 when I checked a couple of weeks ago.Randy Register - Kingston, TN

FWIW, New River Marina at mm 247 on the AICW has Diesel for $1.13 including tax: $1.05 with 7.5% tax. I called today to verify the price and they say 6’ draft is no problem.

Re: Stuart, FL To Racine, WI On A 60MY
Question for Dave.
I posted some "hinged arch" examples for him on Yacht Forums about "arch removal".
Inquiring minds would like to know. Was it hinged or just remove it when you are farther north?
Thanks
Jim:
PS Is he removing his windscreen also?

Re: Stuart, FL To Racine, WI On A 60MY
I’ll take that one. We’ll remove the arch south of Chicago. Given the way the windshield ties into the arch, we’ll have to remove it too.

Re: Stuart, FL To Racine, WI On A 60MY
Well, our weather luck ran out today, and we opted to call it a very short day at The Wharf in Orange Beach, AL. Getting caught in a big storm in Mobile Bay is no fun. Decided to buy the high priced fuel to conserve time for the run up to Bobby’s Fish Camp tomorrow. Will head out at first light.
Boat is still running flawlessly, and we’ll be doing the takeout thing for dinner. Everything here is still closed up for the China virus.Randy Register - Kingston, TN

Re: Stuart, FL To Racine, WI On A 60MY
Here's a dopey question.
Why is the fuel more expensive up on the river.
Availability?
Do the marina's pay more?
Environmental compliance?
Inquiring minds need to know.Mark
