I'll let you know if I make the trip to FL see it. What should I figure the fuel burn at for the trip to Myrtle Beach?

    Thanks,

    Mel

I’m still sporting my CHINA-19 haircut, seeing as how I haven’t had one since January. All I need now is an eye patch, and I’d look like Captain Ron’s older brother. 1MPG is about what you can expect, unless you’re in a hurry to refuel.

The 9 to 10 gph is for both motors, no genny - correct? Any idea on current rate for diesel fuel in FL? Trying to tighten my numbers in advance for negotiation purposes.

    Thanks,

    Mel

Wow, I just got a CHINA-20 haircut, did they change the model number or did I get a free upgrade?!@? If you can, save that eye patch....the stroke I had back in Feb took out the vision in my right eye. I lost Starboard vision, but gained speed. Plus, with my full beard and eye patch, I'll can look like a pirate!

    Is diesel still under $4/gal?

    Thanks,

    Mel

Yes 9 to 10 GPH combined. Plus another 0.75 gallon for the generator.

Diesel is around 2.20-2.50 depending on location. Commercial docks or delivery is cheaper... some marinas are more expensive. It pays to shop around

lmao...I broke down yesterday and faced the music. Power tools were required. Remants will make for a nice area rug.

I have questions. Why would anyone worry about fuel cost from Florida to Myrtle Beach? Fuel cost or consumption should be the least of your worries. If this is a concern, you shouldn't even consider one of these old boats. Especially one in dog poop condition. Wake Up! This isn't a dream. It's a nightmare!

All the other guys answering my post offered positive and helpful responses....all you have are a couple of snide remarks that contribute zilch. You should find a more effective hobby or side line.

Oh and while you're at it, clean up that floating dog crap aboard will 'ya.....
